A sledgehammer is not mandatory, but it is essential for your complete safety and full construction of your base.Just check all the creates slowly making sure not to skip one. It's still in my opinion the best bet to get a sledge hammer when you're on this side of the map. This will be an extremely sketchy journey that might not even have what you're looking for.The best bet to acquire one would be at the warehouses outside of town. Sledgehammers are pretty rare in my experience, but are an amazing tool. This would be the end game to securing up your base.What we need is a sledge hammer to make it fully secure. (in a pinch nails can be acquired from disassembling the chairs and tables if you didn't happen to find any on the way here) Now we have two ways out and two ways in and zombies have none. It requires the hammer and nails along with the sheet rope. You're going to want to break out at least two windows, remove the glass, and attach the sheet rope. You're going to want to empty both of them out and then move them in front of the doors. Inside here you will find a shelfing unit and a box. There is a door that will lead to the back room. Now head towards the other side of the building next to the bathrooms.Zombies can destroy these tables, but there is more stuff around that you can continue to block them off with. For now we want to take the two tables nearby and block them off. On the ground floor towards the south end of the building there will be a flight of stairs.Once you're sure the place is secure we can move onto the defenses. Go ahead and clear those fellas out top, bottom, and outside making sure to check the backroom and bathrooms. When you first arrive at your new base chances are it will have some undead inside and outside.All of which can be acquired on the way here with a tiny bit of luck. However, once a Door Frame or Window Frame has been Plastered or Painted, it can no longer be Destroyed. Player-Constructed Floor Tiles (only for levels above the ground floor)Īs well, the metal shutters/gates at the West Point Gun Store can also be destroyed with a Sledgehammer. What this mod does is make it so the player-constructed world tiles, that cannot be disassembled or destroyed without Vanilla Sledgehammer Destruction, are the only tiles that can be destroyed with a sledge. As well as facilitating griefing and malicious destruction. When PVP conflict and bases become involved, it makes many defences and barriers inconsequential. With how it turns all of the objects in the world into paper mache, I feel that it cheapens the experience and actually detracts from, instead of adding to, play. In the context of Multiplayer, I've come to dislike the Sledgehammer Destruction feature.
